What can be more romantic and exciting than coming to Scotland and staying in a castle!
The two I have chosen exemplify the very best Scotland has to offer. Between them they have over a thousand years of history. They stand in the most beautiful of locations, are run by wonderful, friendly people… and most importantly provide a very high standard of accommodation and hospitality.
They are situated in different areas of Scotland and therefore a stay in both will provide you with a breadth of Scottish experiences and a lifetime of memories. The length of stay can vary according to your requirements and wishes but a minimum of two days in each would be perfect.
DUCHRAY CASTLE

This castle sits in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Forest park in the beautiful area of central Scotland known as The Trossachs. It is perfect for exploring Stirling Castle and Doune Castle (recently used for filming the new Outlander movie, previously in The Holy Grail). Other options are a beautiful boat trip to Inchmahome Island... a past refuge of Mary Queen of Scots or perhaps a sail on Loch Katrine surrounded on all sides by awe inspiring scenery. Many more tour options available.
BARCALDINE CASTLE

A few miles from Oban on the west coast of Scotland, this castle sits on the beautiful shores of Loch Creran and has beautiful views to the majestic mountains of Glen Coe in the distance. It is the perfect base for exploring the islands of Mull, Staffa and Iona and the ferry trip over is always an exciting experience.
Other possible trips might be to Glen Coe or Glenfinnan, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Inveraray Castle and of course Oban itself… a wonderful bustling Scottish seaport. Many more tour options available.
Please contact me to discuss your requirements and options. If these particular castles are not available at the time I will suggest alternatives.
